Meetings

The Board of Trustees meets four times each year.  Specific dates are set in conjunction with the development of the Academic Calendar and take into account major national and religious holidays.  The fall meeting is held in conjunction with Founders’ Day and the May meeting (officially called The Annual Meeting) is held in conjunction with Commencement.

For 2009 – 2010, Board of Trustees meeting dates are:

October 2 - 3, 2009

December 4 - 5, 2009

February 26 - 27, 2010

May 14 - 15, 2010

The Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees meets between meetings of the Board of Trustees.

Board of Trustees meetings are attended by members of the Board and individuals that they invite to participate for specific business.

Members of the Duke University community who have business to come before the Board of Trustees or the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees should contact the Office of the University Secretary one month prior to a meeting.
